The International Institute of Culinary Arts (IICA), New Delhi signed a landmark MoU with Japan’s Kyoto Culinary Art College and Kyoto Pastry & Bakery Art College, operated by Taiwa Gakuen Educational Corporation, to strengthen international culinary education and cultural exchange. Formalised during Arjun S. Datta’s visit to Kyoto, the partnership focuses on faculty/student exchange and co-creating new academic programs. A key outcome is the launch of an Indian Cuisine Program in Kyoto, delivered by IICA chef faculty, alongside a Japanese Cuisine Program in New Delhi designed with Kyoto’s chefs. The collaboration highlights a growing India–Japan culinary bridge blending Indian flavours with Japanese precision and craftsmanship.
